Using Limousine Services in Corporate Transportation

Writen by Earl Juanico

Corporations are usually most concerned about team building, leadership quality, and various management skills. Motivated to maximize the output from the employees, corporate events are planned to unleash and hone these skills of their employees. Corporate events, be they outdoor or indoor, are strategically designed not only for entertainment but for enriching learning experiences as well. Corporations do not take their entertainment part lightly. Human resource managers typically prepare to accommodate corporate event entertainments in their portfolios. A crucial area of concern for these managers is arranging for the perfect corporate transportation. This is where corporate limousine services apply their fitting role in providing the most appropriate type of corporate transportation among the choices available. Corporate settings deserve some degree of luxury in all accommodations as possible, and only limousine services are capable of offering such necessity.

The choice of transportation is highly important, which goes hand in hand with the choice of location. For a company that puts a premium on ideas, an open, natural and relaxed setting is preferred to stimulate creative ideas. Horseback riding, trekking, mountain climbing, parachute jumping, canoeing and river rafting are some outdoor events, which aim at improving team spirit among corporate clients. Corporate limousine services not only provide enough space for a laid back environment, but it also provides an atmosphere of camaraderie among employees while in transit. It is essential that the momentum acquired from each event happens continuously even while moving from one place to another.

Music has always been the life of any event and corporate events are no exception. Corporate limousine services provide amenities for enjoying music while on transit. A manager who is known for his tough exterior can lead his executives to have a glimpse of his humane side by the choice of songs to be played inside the limousine. This sets the right mood for everyone as they arrive at the party place where music entertainment sure to be a prime component. Music can really loosen up people to relate better with each other.

Many companies have also begun using corporate limousine services to transport executives who previously just flew. What makes flying less preferable than corporate limousine service is that besides boarding on a plane and going, executives are also sitting at the airports often not getting anything done. Inside limousines, executives can set off and start a meeting right there while on their way towards their destination. This realization created a boom in the corporate limousine business, which has also led to the customization of many vehicles to fit the specific needs of corporate travelers.

It is fair to say that due to conditions of the economy as well as the reduction of travel budgets, companies are looking at the short-haul market from the standpoint of being more cost effective than flying. Albeit the shift from flying to driving has not been a radical change, there has been some momentum in the decision to drive rather than fly.

Corporate limousine services are certainly at the top of the list when it comes to choice for corporate transportation. Limos do not only provide comfort and luxury to business executives and employees alike, but also the ideal environment for making the most out of travel time. Time is of the essence and companies are gearing up towards an economical optimization not only on the costs of travel but also towards capitalizing on travel times to benefit business interests.

Online Auctions, Used Car Fraud And What You Need To Know

Writen by David Maillie

With the advent of the internet it was only a matter of time before it became a booming marketplace for cars. The online car industry, according to Ebay, now consists of millions of car deals every year. The online leader is obviously Ebay due to its auction format and huge fan base. This is great for car buyers and sellers as it gives them another avenue than having to go to a dealer. The good news is that the vast majority of online car deals through auction sites are positive transactions. There is a darkside, however. Along with these growing sales is a rapidly growing amount of fraud. Scam artists are lining up to take advantage of unsuspecting car buyers. You can take steps to protect yourself and avoid this online car fraud.

Be alert. As the saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Do your research and don’t get clouded by an unbelievable deal. Do your homework. Ebay lets you search completed auctions so you can get a idea of what you can expect for the make and model of car you are looking for. There are also many books available which will give you a price range for the type of car or truck you are looking for. Kelly Blue Book is very handy.

Be cautious. Before you ever place a bid, pull a Carfax or Autocheck by Experian. This will reveal possible odometer and title problems. It will also reveal important issues like if the vehicle has been in a wreck or flooded. Never rely on the sellers word as to the vehicles history. Per the FTC and the Better Business Bureau, odometer fraud is a major concern in internet purchases. Odometers have been altered and even digital odometers can be tampered with. We asked a mechanic in Louisiana how this can be so easy. This is what he said:

Its easy, you just pull out the odometer/speedometer unit out of the dash and send it to the manufacturer. You state its broke and report the mileage you want and they ship a new one back with the mileage you requested on it. No one ever checks anything. Its done all the time.
A carfax and a good inspection by a qualified technician will reveal the true mileage.

Unbelievable, I wonder how many times this really occurs. Always get a Carfax.

Be thorough. Read the entire listing. Is it full of grammatical errors? Lots of misspellings? This is a high indicator of a fraudulent listing. Many overseas frauds contain vast grammatical errors and misspellings similar to Nigerian spam mail scams. If it doesn’t look write than it probably isn’t. Also look into the sellers feedback if through an auction site like Ebay. This will indicate if they are reliable, but you cannot solely rely on feedback as some scammers and fraudsters have found ways around this.

Get it in writing. Any promises are meaningless unless you have them in writing. Car salespeople at car dealerships are notorious liars. What the seller says and what a warranty really covers can be 2 entirely different things. I was sold a car through Ebay by Farmerville Motors in Farmerville, Louisiana and the salesman promised that the car would pass inspection in my state. It didn’t due to a bad OBD system. The salesperson at Farmerville Motors stated that the entire emissions system on the car I purchased was covered. It wasn’t. At a local GM dealership it was found that only the catalytic converter was covered, not any part of the OBD and emissions system. Get any promises in writing.

Be wary. There are such things as undisclosed flood and frame damage. Fraudulent car dealers and body shops are selling previously crashed cars and flood cars for quick profit. Be careful and do your homework. Don’t send payment or sign any paperwork especially as - is paperwork until you see and thoroughly checkout the car. Don’t become a victim like I did - the car Farmerville Motors in Farmerville, Louisiana sold to me later revealed it had been involved in a possible unreported flood - no wonder the OBD system didn’t work.

Most online car sales go without a hitch. But, be careful and limit your exposure to fraud. There are many great sellers on auction sites like Ebay, but there are fraudulent ones too. Don’t become a victim of online car fraud like I did due to Farmerville Motors in Farmerville, Louisiana.

More On Lost Wages

Writen by Dan Baldyga

Some time ago I wrote an article for the absolutely sensational ARTICLE CITY regarding the handling of your personal injury claim regarding how one should proceed to collect for their LOST WAGES.

Since then I’ve been asked so many questions about that subject matter I’ve decided to go into even greater depth regarding this highly complicated subject matter. So, here we go:

GENERALLY SPEAKING: If you’re claiming five weeks of lost wages, and your Medical Record shows you were discharged in three, you’re in deep “stuff”! You’re chances of collecting for those additional two weeks is probably minus-zip.

No matter who says what you must make sure that the Final Medical Report, is handed to you - - only you - - nobody else !

Why ? So you’ll have a chance to read it before you hand it to Adjuster Henry Hard-Nose employed by Rock Solid Insurance Corporation.

In the event that the report doesn’t have everything in it that it should (which I’ve expressed in detail below) you have every right to return it to Medical Doctor or Chiropractor who wrote it and ask that it be rewritten in clear language, detailing and explaining the pain, discomfort and suffering they observed you experienced.

It if isn’t executed correctly Rock Solid Insurance and Hard-Nose will absolutely swoon with joy because the value of your claim will have done a nose dive into the nearest sewer. Why? Because your Final Medical Report has been executed in a sloppy manner and they know, in their secret heart’s, that even though you went through a tremendous period of “Pain and Suffering” if it’s not adequately spelled out your claim suddenly has much less value !

Assuming your Final Medical Report has been written accurately that’s money in the bank! But, far too often they’re dashed off in haste by a “Busy-Busy” Attending Physician or Chiropractor. Don’t let that happen to you because, if it does, that hot, slick tongue you feel on you’re lips, and sliding into your throat, is the result of the kiss of death that’s being given to you moments before your seduction.

SICK LEAVE OR VACATION TIME:

If you had to take sick leave, or vacation time, during the time you missed from work, it’s absolutely part of your claim. Never forget you would have been entitled to use that sick leave and/or vacation time, - - later on down the road - - when you needed or wanted it.

NEVER FORGET: If you’re forced to take either (because of a motor vehicle accident) it’s the same as losing the pay itself. Don’t let Hard-Nose attempt to pull his usual “Con Job” and tell you any differently!

LOSS OF PAY VS. TRIPS TO YOUR ATTENDING PHYSICIAN:

If your Lost Wage Document, which was executed by the company you work for, states that you didn’t work during the same period you were being treated by your attending physician, that’s all the proof you need to be compensated for your “lost earnings”.

HOWEVER: If your doctor didn’t treat you any longer after a certain date (even though stated and detailed in your Lost Wage Document) than your chances of recovery for your lost wages, after that particular date, are minus zip!

BACK TO WORK BUT STILL TREATING:

If you’ve returned to work, but you’re still being treated by your attending physician, that Lost Wage Document should clearly state the date and hours you missed when you had to leave work and make that day trip to see your doctor and/or receive treatment.

BACK TO WORK HOWEVER NOT BACK AT YOUR USUAL, NORMAL, ROUTINE ASSIGNMENT:

During my almost 40 years in the business of insurance claims I often ran into a situation where the claimant insisted they were unable to return to their old job and this caused them to have a lesser income. However, there were many times when the only proof of this was their verbal contention and that was unacceptable .

That’s why it’s so important (should this apply to you and your work/income situation) that this is clearly spelled out , by the company where you’re employed, in their Lost Wage Report. An official notation on the bottom of the document, stating this to be true, can save you a lot of grief, and a earn you a ton of money!

LOSS OF OVERTIME PAY:

The overtime you lost is a legit claim. Get a letter from your employer spelling out the amount of money you lost in overtime. They can do this by taking a look at last years income, during the same period you were laid up, then figuring out the overtime income you lost, for that identical space in time. Once this has been determined THIS TOO should written into your Lost Wage Report.

ONE LAST WARNING

The inside claims people at Rock Solid Insurance Corporation and adjusters like Henry Hard-Nose are buried alive with hundreds (sometimes thousands!) of claimants who are going through a great deal of “Pain and Suffering”, and they just don’t have the time to properly consider the seriousness of what you’ve had to deal with, no matter how legitimate it may be.

You ask, “How can Dan be so sure about that” ? The answer is very simple, “Because I’ve been there and done that”.

HOWEVER: If you follow what I’ve laid out above, you’ll stay ahead of them, win the ball game and be awarded all the lost wage damage’s that are owed to you - - PLUS increase that additional payment for your “Pain and Suffering” !
